This Narrator is Unreliable, and His Story is Implausible
The night sky was as dark as the night and as vast as the sky,
the darkness spoiled only by points of light, strewn about like stars.
And suddenly, as though a mist in the air had condensed,
water fell from the sky in drops that felt like rain.
And from the water, as though fleeing death, ants scurried away like insects.
What a night this has been; I wonder what will be next…
